Nick is up there as one of the best FPL managers anywhere. Have had the pleasure of his insights for the last couple of seasons. Finally all his thoughts on strategy down in a well written book. Cannot recommend it enough. This is the best investment you could possibly make if you are a fan of FPL and want to improve!
I bought the PDF version as I don't have an e reader. The format is perfect for reading on a laptop. A very useful read seeing as we're about to embark on a new FPL season. The team structure is particularly insightful, spending the right amount in each area is not something I considered before. Lots of other good tips found in here as well as the members code for Triggers blog, that in itself is very well worth reading. At £3.99 its not going to break the bank and if your in a money mini league could well be a good investment. A recommended buy if you are at all interested in Fantasy Football.
Great read for anyone looking to dive headfirst into fantasy Premier League. Well worth the money, which also gets you full access to the author's website.
This book looks set to change my ranking, or if nothing else set me up much better prepared at the start of this season and ready to make those sensible transfers as the season progresses. Yes, Nick’s advice could be considered "anecdotal," but if you want to learn it may as well be from someone who has mastered the League. With four top one thousand finishes under his belt, that’s advice I’m willing to listen to. His advice comes from having skin in the game from a time newbies were probably still in nappies.. But this book isn’t about the past, it’s about the League today in 2016.
Forums are sometimes so full of noise it’s hard to find those pearls of wisdom or wee gems that will help you make the right decision. And I haven’t yet found a textbook with all the right or wrong answers for mastering transfers – but this handy guide may come close. It’s full of top tips in its three main sections Squad Selection; a look at the 2016/17 fixtures with a club by club guide; and a final section on transfers, managing money wild cards and chips.
After I made the decision to enter the FPl, a friend recommended that I check out Nick’s website. It’s also full of useful articles and thoughts on transfers. Like the Author I won’t leave a review but leave it to readers to form their own view. As part of buying this book I’m given a free password to the Members area so it will be interesting to see what extra tips I get from there. But thats not the only source of reference you get in the Book. There are other handy links which helps sort the wheat from the chaff.
I guess in the end I was looking for a one-stop guide on how to improve my rankings and this book might just be it. The book is written in a very easy reading style. The points are simply made, they are practical and sensible.Very good value for money I’d say. So now I’m looking forward to a much brighter season!
Im happy I bought this book. I was not that good fantasy player earlier but after reading this book I can say that I understand a lot more how thinking in fantasy football works. I really recommended this book to everyone who wants to be a succesfull fantasy football manager!
